The 700c tires afford more speed than smaller 26" tires. The 35c width means they don't loose much composure on groomed trails. The 7 speed Shimano drivetrain means nice efficient shifting with low gears to flatten most any hill. Comfort. The suspension seatpost sorts out road buzz to ensure a comfortable ride.
