The previous version was great with 18 speeds. Now, Motobecane USA has given the Fantom CX even more versatility. Now with 27 Speed Shimano Tiagra/Sora
equipped Fantom CX is the ULTIMATE all purpose Motobecane bike. The
frame is the same pro-grade frame used on their high-line Fantom Cross PRO. Precision welded with advanced, Butted 6061 or 7075 aluminum alloy tubing, custom
butted and shaped with an engineered downtube. To meet the incredibly high demand, Motobecane USA is building these frames with either 6000 or 7000 series aluminum alloy. The specs, weight and performance has been engineered to be the same.

A Motobecane Fantom CX is an
incredibly versatile bicycle. Nearly as effective off-road as a
mountain bike and way more fun. Put smooth-tread or even slick tires on it and it
makes a great road bike. Put lights and fenders on it and ride it to
and from work or to and from Yellowstone. You can also attach a rear rack to the rear rack mounts AND a fender to the front fork for a very green; great-looking; grocery-getter.
