The 2009 FLY Ti has the FSA KForce Light Carbon fiber crank and External BB System, FSA cartridge headset, sweet shifting 2009 Shimano XTR drivetrain with even lighter, precision bearing Vuelta XRP Team edition SL Disc hubs and top-of-the-line Avid Ultimate Hydraulic Disc braking system.

Weight: The Litespeed Obed weighs 23.5 to 24lbs. (per www.litespeed.com, 1-800-229-0198)  The FLY Ti weighs 19.5 lbs (*size medium/18" no pedals/reflectors)

Drive Train/Fork: Both bikes have the same derailleurs and shifters and comparable forks (Obed has much heavier fork). The FLY Ti has much higher level FSA KForce Light GXP carbon fiber crankset.

Brakes: Litespeed Obed has standard XTR disc brakes, FLY Ti has the lighter, highest level Avid Ultimate Carbon lever disc brakes.

Wheels: Litespeed Obed has heavy, cheaper ($479 List), Bontrager wheelset and weigh 1800g/pair
FLY Ti has the best, Vuelta Team SuperLite wheelset ($799 List) that weigh 1556g/pair. Vuelta XRP wheels are carefully handbuilt and go through three separate stages of re-tensioning. (*approx weights per mfg spec)
