Wheels: Trek 8500 has mid-level house-brand disc wheels, which weigh 1820g/pair.
FLY Team has top of the line, pro-level, Vuelta XRP Team SL Disc wheelset and weigh 1556g/pair. (approx weights per mfg spec) Vuelta XRP wheels are carefully handbuilt and put through three separate stages of re-tensioning.
