Smart Shopper Tips:

1) Compare this bike. Call around and read off the parts spec of this bike and ask other stores their price on a similar bike. They will tell you at least $2,000.

Compare to the Trek road bikes which sell for nearly $2,000. The Sprint is about half the price and has equal or higher level front derailleur and higher level wheels with precision bearings.

2) Make sure you get current name brand parts. Other $699 bikes are either equipped with yesterday's technology or lower level with heavier and lower quality Sora/Tiagra or Tiagra+105 bikes with heavy entry-level wheels and parts and will NOT have carbon fiber seatstays.

3) Watch out for other bikes that substitute lower level cranks and heavier, lower level wheels.
