**WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I FIRST RECEIVE MY BIKE?**
1- CHECK YOUR ITEMS | Make sure that the box is marked with the correct model name and size and the bike inside is the bike you ordered and that all parts were included. Issues or questions: Click HERE for "Post Purchase Bicycle Service Questions"
2- WRITE DOWN YOUR SERIAL NUMBER | You are receiving a factory direct bike that is drop shipped from a distribution warehouse. We nor the manufacturer record your serial number. If your bike is stolen without having this number filed in your own records, you are out of luck.
*Serial numbers are usually underneath the rear drop outs OR underneath the bottom bracket.
3- DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR BIKE BOX | If you do not have the factory box, you will not be able to return your bike for a full refund. If you return the bike and send it back in a box, other than the original; 10% will immediately be deducted from your refund. There are NO exceptions for this requirement. For a detailed return policy, please email Karla at bikesdirectbikes@aol.com
4- Assembly | The paper manual that came with your bike is a generic, non model specific manual. It is for basic bicycle information. It does not have model-specific assembly steps. Please review the following links before you begin assembling your bike. If you have any trouble, you may choose to pay a professional to assemble it. A fair assembly price at a Bike Shop is about $25 to $50, in most areas. If you choose to have this done at a shop we recommend you inspect the bike BEFORE it is assembled to ensure you received the correct bike and that nothing is damaged. Bikesdirect.com is not responsible for any assembly/labor/transport fees.

Note About Seatposts
The minimum insertion is determined by the lowest point of the top tube joining the seat tube. The seat post should extend at least 2 inches below the bottom of the top tube, regardless of where the min insertion line is marked. If not, the seat post can lever against the inside of the top tube and split the frame, ruining your bike....Take care that your seat post is far enough into the frame
