Real Customer Reviews
E. B. "I have had this bike for nearly a year now and have put over a thousand miles on it…I received the bike well packaged with no unpleasant surprises, in a timely manner. The bicycle was built easily with no issues to the derailleurs…able to ride very comfortably for the season. This is a fun bike that is a hoot to ride and certainly catches the eye. The Sora / Friction shifter combo operates smoothly and hubs roll very well…. this is a great bike for the money with a ton of possibilities…"
M. B."…came packaged the way every other Bikes Direct bike has ever come packaged (to date, six of their bikes have passed through my basement shop), which is to say, the frame was well wrapped and padded, the bars already taped, the pedals, front brake and stem uninstalled, and the brakes and derailers in need of adjustment. I had it all together and ready to ride in about 40 minutes. …the cool thing about a minivelo: you have a smaller bike without getting all scrunched up on it…small wheels are noticeable, the handling a little more nimble…After a while you don't notice the wheels anymore, and you get used to the shifters, and it's like riding any other bike…for under 300 bucks, this is a lot of fun and a great bike to have in the stable. It's going to be fun to modify, it's a riot to ride (the little wheels make it a wheelie machine on par with a Stingray, though I try to refrain from wheelies when I'm clipped in!), and it looks cool."

Yokota Fritz (famous cycling expert) says:
"Minivelo" bicycles are bicycles with small, 20" wheels but with road or city / hybrid bike design influences rather than the BMX bike look. Though at a glance these compact bicycles look like they might be folders, they're not typically folding bicycles.
Because the small size lends to easier storage, minivelo bikes are hugely popular in some Asian countries, Japan, Korea and Taiwan in particular. They have a following in Europe and the UK, also. These lightweight bicycles "feel" a lot like a normal bike. Unlike many comparably equipped folding bikes, they tend to be reasonably stiff and responsive. Many people carry minivelo bicycles onto light rail and train systems as part of a multimodal commute."
Who should buy this bike - Anyone who wants a convenient, agile bicycle. Great for commuting in tighter areas. More compact than normal sized bicycles. .
What does this compare to- Compare this bike to
