No corners are cut, the 2008 FLY Pro NOW with Avid Hydraulic disc brakes- specified with top-of-the-line race quality Shimano, Avid, Ritchey and Vuelta XRP components and the same superlight/strong frame as the FLY Team XC Race Bike of the Year!

At less than 22.5 pounds*, this bike will be nothing but a blur as you smoke your competitors. Motobecane USA has dialed in a race-proven geometry into this phenomenal ride. The handling is very responsive and yet stable. Singletrack and switchbacks are all handled with ease. Slow speed and high speed, technical and flat-out hammering, you will go faster because this bike is so darn light.

This bike is truly versatile. Put slicks on this baby and give those roadies a good scare as this is as light as many road bikes out there. Or, longer travel fork and some meatier tires on it and you have got a superlight trail bike that can handle just about anything and anywhere. Drive Train/Fork: Trek 6700 has lower level Deore front der. and non Shimano rear der (SRAM X9). Trek fork is lower level Tora. The more expensive $1600 Trek 8000 has XT rear der. so XT is better than X9. The FLY Pro has higher level LX front der. and pro-spec Shimano XT rear der. FLY Pro fork is a pro-spec Rockshox SID Race.

Brakes: Trek 6700 has entry level Juicy 3 disc brakes, 2008 FLY Pro has higher level Avid Hydraulic disc brakes. 

Wheels: Trek 6700 has Entry level house-brand disc wheels, which weigh 2100g/pair.
FLY Pro has Pro level, Vuelta XRP Pro custom Paired Spoke disc-ready wheelset and weigh 1900g/pair. (approx weights per mfg spec) Vuelta XRP wheels are carefully handbuilt and put through three separate stages of re-tensioning.
